TRANSIT SERVICE GUIDE — EVENT TRAVEL
Going to Usher and Chris Brown at MetLife? Rockland riders need an early return plan.
NJ Transit will run Meadowlands shuttles Thursday, but Rockland-serving trains do not go directly to the stadium. Transfer at Secaucus, keep the required wristband and use the return time for your home line—not the final 1 a.m. shuttle.

Save the return plan for your home line
- Pascack Valley: The 10:40 p.m. Meadowlands shuttle gives the better printed margin for the final Spring Valley-bound train. The 11 p.m. shuttle is the last timetable match, with only 10 minutes scheduled at Secaucus.
- Suffern: The 1 a.m. Meadowlands shuttle is printed 30 minutes ahead of the final Main/Bergen train from Secaucus.
- Sloatsburg: A daytime trip may begin on a substitute bus to Ramsey Route 17. Coming home, the 12:20 a.m. Meadowlands shuttle is the last connection this guide can responsibly show.
- Everyone: Buy the trip to Meadowlands Station, collect the required wristband at Secaucus and keep it on for the return.
These are schedule matches, not protected connections. NJ Transit does not say that a westbound train will wait for a late stadium shuttle, a slow crowd exit or a platform change.
Pascack Valley riders have the tightest return
Spring Valley, Nanuet and Pearl River riders should not use NJ Transit's “last train will not leave before 1 a.m.” statement as their Rockland deadline. The temporary Thursday timetable lists the final Pascack Valley departure from Secaucus at 11:23 p.m.
The 10:40 p.m. Meadowlands shuttle is scheduled to reach Secaucus Lower Level at 10:53 p.m., leaving a 30-minute printed margin. The 11 p.m. shuttle is scheduled in at 11:13 p.m.—just 10 minutes before the Pascack Valley train. That is the last printed possible match, not the recommended plan.
Train 1647 is scheduled to reach Pearl River at 12:13 a.m., Nanuet at 12:17 a.m. and Spring Valley at 12:23 a.m.
Suffern and Sloatsburg have different paths
For Suffern, the final printed Main/Bergen departure from Secaucus is train 1101 at 1:43 a.m. The event timetable's 1 a.m. shuttle is scheduled into Secaucus at 1:13 a.m., a 30-minute printed interval.
Sloatsburg remains inside NJ Transit's weekday Port Jervis construction plan. The event-bound example in the temporary table begins with a 3:57 p.m. substitute bus, not a train, and changes at Ramsey Route 17 before continuing to Secaucus. The matched 5:17 p.m. Meadowlands shuttle is scheduled to reach the stadium at 5:30 p.m.
Coming home, the final printed train serving Sloatsburg leaves Secaucus at 12:50 a.m. The 12:20 a.m. Meadowlands shuttle is scheduled in at 12:33 a.m., leaving 17 minutes. Do not use the 12:30 a.m. shuttle as a planned connection; its printed arrival leaves only seven minutes and no hold is promised.
Going to the stadium
NJ Transit lists Meadowlands-bound shuttles from Secaucus Lower Level from 4:53 p.m. through 8:45 p.m. MetLife Stadium lists the concert for 7:30 p.m., with doors at 6 p.m. and parking at 2:30 p.m.
One comfortable printed Pascack Valley example leaves Spring Valley at 3:54 p.m., Nanuet at 3:59 p.m. or Pearl River at 4:04 p.m. It reaches Secaucus at 4:57 p.m. and matches the 5:17 p.m. stadium shuttle.
From Suffern, train 1124 is scheduled at 4:57 p.m., reaching Secaucus at 5:54 p.m. for the 6:05 p.m. shuttle. The later 5:48 p.m. Suffern train can match a 7:02 p.m. shuttle and a 7:15 p.m. stadium arrival, but that leaves only 15 minutes before the listed start. Treat it as a tight last scheduled path, not the plan to recommend.
You need the Meadowlands wristband
Rockland-serving lines do not run directly to Meadowlands Station. At Secaucus, show the Meadowlands ticket and collect the wristband required for the stadium shuttle. Keep the wristband on for the trip back.
NJ Transit says return shuttles are scheduled from 10:15 p.m. through 1 a.m. and may leave earlier or later as crowds move. Additional service may run after 1 a.m. That flexibility does not create a later Rockland connection. The line-specific weekday timetables still control the trip home.
Weather and live-status check
The National Weather Service forecast available early Wednesday calls for a sunny Thursday in East Rutherford, with a high near 67. Showers are forecast after 2 a.m. Friday, outside the scheduled concert and return window. Forecasts can shift.
At the October 14 publication check, NJ Transit listed the relevant elevators at Paterson, Ramsey Route 17, Ridgewood and Secaucus in service and showed no new unscheduled interruption on Main/Bergen County or Pascack Valley. Those conditions are not a promise for Thursday. Before leaving, check the live rail alerts ↗, elevator table ↗ and trip planner—especially if a step-free path is essential.
What changes for a resident: A Rockland concertgoer can save the correct Secaucus transfer and home-line return plan now, instead of relying on the later 1 a.m. stadium-shuttle statement and missing the last useful westbound connection.

The event advisory, live rail alerts, relevant elevator table, weather forecast, 511NY list and prior-48-hour coverage were rechecked October 14, 2026, at 12:56 a.m. EDT. MetLife lists the event at 7:30 p.m., doors at 6 p.m. and parking at 2:30 p.m.; because NJ Transit's advisory separately uses 7:30 p.m. as a gate time, this guide relies on the venue record for event timing and does not repeat that conflicting sentence.
