What the archive shows

  • Location: U.S. Route 9W at Upper Depew Avenue, Nyack.
  • Source timestamp: Friday, October 9, at 1:01 p.m. EDT.
  • Last confirmed active: Saturday, October 10, at 6:19 p.m. EDT.
  • Absent from the list by: 7:54 p.m.
  • Never posted: exact removal time, lane restriction, detour, repair completion or affected-customer list.
  • Water-service instructions: no related household instruction was confirmed in the public records reviewed for this page.

For a new trip

This page is now a timestamped archive. The record's removal does not prove that every road or repair effect ended by 7:54 p.m. Before traveling through Route 9W and Upper Depew, reopen the 511NY incident list ↗ and follow current instructions from police, transportation or water crews.

Sunday's Nyack Famous Street Fair remains a separate planned event. The Village says it runs primarily on Main Street and Broadway and will bring daytime road closures and detours; it does not connect those fair closures to this archived water-main record. Read the Village street-fair guidance ↗

What the closeout does not establish

The list did not post a repair-completion notice, affected-customer list or drinking-water instruction. Record removal should not be treated as proof that a pipe repair ended or that every customer was unaffected. Use a Water Department or health-authority notice—not this archive—for household water guidance.

What changes for a resident: the earlier Route 9W water-main record should no longer be treated as active road guidance. Anyone making a new trip should use the current 511NY list, while household water questions still require a Water Department or health-authority notice.

Primary sources checked October 10, 2026: the 511NY incident list ↗, where the Route 9W record was absent at 7:54 p.m. after appearing in the 6:19 p.m. incident feed; the Village of Nyack's Water Notifications page ↗; and the Village's 2026 street-fair page ↗. This closeout reports the road record's removal, not a verified repair completion or household water outcome.
