CHILD SAFETY RECALL — READER SERVICE

Take the swing down. PACEARTH seats are recalled after falls and injuries.

PACEARTH Direct recalled about 110,550 U-type swing seats sold on Amazon because the seat, attachment hardware or webbing straps can break during use. Stop using a match immediately and follow the company's photo process for a full refund.

The Rockland Edit recall card identifying PACEARTH U-type swing seats with yellow-coated chains and yellow webbing straps, and telling owners to stop use and request a refund
Original identification card by The Rockland Edit, based on CPSC recall 27-019. It is information design, not product photography, an Amazon notice or evidence that a recalled swing was installed in Rockland.

How to recognize the recalled swing

  • Brand and type: PACEARTH U-type swing seat.
  • Colors: sold in green, blue, pink, red and turquoise.
  • Attachment cues: yellow-plastic-coated chain, plus metal carabiners or quick links and yellow webbing straps.
  • Pack: sold as one seat or a two-pack.
  • Sales: Amazon, May 2017 through June 2026, for $27–$57.
  • Action: stop using a match immediately and contact PACEARTH Direct for a full refund.

The failure can happen in several places

CPSC says the seat, metal carabiners or quick links, or yellow webbing straps can break while someone is using the swing. PACEARTH Direct reported at least 30 falls and at least nine injuries, including fractures, head injuries and bruising.

This is a federal stop-use recall, not a general warning about every swing. CPSC's description does not provide a model number or UPC, so use the complete combination of brand, U-type seat, chain coating, attachment hardware and straps rather than color alone.

What to do now

  1. Keep children and other users off a possible match. Do not test it by sitting or pulling on it.
  2. Confirm the PACEARTH logo and the identification cues above against the CPSC recall and official photos ↗.
  3. Write RECALLED on the swing seat with permanent marker, then take a photo that includes the marking and PACEARTH logo.
  4. Email the photo to recall@pacearth.com to request the full refund.

CPSC does not list a repair or replacement option in this notice. Its remedy is a refund. The federal page also says recalled products may not legally be sold.

Amazon sales create a possible Rockland purchase path

The seats were sold on Amazon nationwide for more than nine years. That creates a plausible purchase path for a Rockland household, but neither CPSC nor PACEARTH identifies a Rockland buyer, installation, fall or injury in the public notice.

What changes for a resident: If your household has a PACEARTH U-type swing seat with the recalled attachment setup, stop using it now, match it against CPSC's photos and email the marked-seat photo for a full refund.
