HEALTH SERVICE GUIDE — HEALTHCARE, MENTAL HEALTH & AGING
Walk in Friday for a flu shot in Pomona. Call first if you are going for MMR.
Rockland County lists a no-appointment vaccine clinic from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. Friday at Yeager Health Center. Flu vaccination is confirmed. The County's current clinic listing includes MMR, while its September 10 announcement lists only flu for this stop.

Flu vaccination is confirmed
The County's September 10 Health Department announcement and its current clinic listing both include flu vaccination for the October 2 Pomona stop. The County says the flu vaccine is available from age 6 months and that a high-dose version will be offered to people 65 and older.
The County says vaccination is free for people who are uninsured or underinsured. People with Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance should bring their insurance card. The records do not say whether an insured person could face cost-sharing, so ask clinic staff before vaccination if cost is a deciding factor.
The County's MMR wording still does not match
The current clinics page lists Friday's stop as a “Flu & Measles (MMR) Clinic.” The linked event language says MMR will be available at no cost to non-immune residents ages 6 months and older. But the Health Department's September 10 countywide announcement lists only flu for the October 2 stop.
That difference should not be turned into a promise of supply. If you are making the trip specifically for MMR, call 845-364-2534 first and ask whether it will be available, whether you are eligible and what records to bring. Neither source lists RSV, pneumonia or tetanus vaccine for this stop.
Plan for Building A
The event record places the clinic in the Exhibition Hall inside Building A at 50 Sanatorium Road. It does not publish parking, accessible-route, seating, language-assistance or wait-time details. Confirm an accommodation need with the Health Department before traveling.
The event title is not a personal vaccine recommendation. For questions about which vaccine you need or when to receive it, speak with a healthcare provider.
What changes for a resident: Rockland residents can walk in for a flu shot from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. Friday in Pomona; anyone traveling specifically for MMR should call the Health Department first because the County's records still differ.
