VETERINARY DRUG RECALL — CHECK PRODUCT AND LOT
Does the label say Wedgewood? Check the recall lookup before the next dose.
Wedgewood Pharmacy is recalling certain—not all—compounded veterinary medications that are still within expiration. The company says unreliable analytical-testing data could mean an affected product is weaker or stronger than intended. If the live lookup matches your product and lot, the recall notice tells animal owners to stop using it, keep the product and call recall services.

Start with the label—then use the live lookup
- Find the Wedgewood product name or SKU, lot number and expiration date. Do not assume every Wedgewood medication is recalled.
- Search Wedgewood's SKU and lot lookup ↗. The page supports partial product-name matches and lists recalled lots with expiration dates.
- If it matches: stop use, retain the product and call recall support at 866-562-5931. The company says affected customers are being offered a refund or, where possible, replacement.
- For the animal's treatment plan: contact the prescribing veterinarian. The company says it is helping identify clinically appropriate alternatives where available.
Which products are in scope?
The October 21 announcement says affected medications were shipped between February 18 and October 6, 2026, to veterinary practices, pharmacies and other customers nationwide. It names many dosage forms—powders, pastes, oral suspensions, injectables, eye ointments and solutions, ear solutions and suspensions, topical sprays and gels—rather than one retail brand or one medicine.
The products are intended for companion, equine, exotic, zoo, wildlife and aquatic animals. The notice says they are not intended for food-producing animals. A shipment date or dosage form alone does not establish that a bottle, tube or syringe is recalled; the product, lot and expiration must match the lookup or recall communication.
Why potency matters
Wedgewood says inconsistencies in the reliability of laboratory analytical data reduced its confidence in the affected testing. The FDA-hosted company announcement says low potency can result in ineffective treatment, while high potency can create toxicity or overdose risk.
The announcement reports 98 complaints, including seven described as serious. It does not say that every complaint was proven to have been caused by a recalled product. Wedgewood's separate recall page says it has not identified an increase in complaints or adverse events associated with the affected products. Those statements should not be converted into a finding about an individual animal.
Do not lose continuity of care
The stop-use instruction applies to an affected match, not every Wedgewood prescription. If the lookup matches, keep the product available for the recall process rather than discarding it immediately. Recall support is available at 866-562-5931, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern.
Contact the prescribing veterinarian if the animal has medical concerns or if an interruption could affect treatment. For a suspected adverse reaction or quality problem, the announcement also lists FDA's animal reporting line, 1-888-FDA-VETS, and the online animal adverse-event report ↗.
What changes for a Rockland animal owner: if a current veterinary medication came from Wedgewood, use the company's live product-and-lot lookup now. Stop and retain only an affected match, then contact recall support and the prescribing veterinarian about replacement or an alternative.
Primary sources checked October 22, 2026: the October 21 company announcement hosted by FDA ↗, Wedgewood's live SKU and lot lookup ↗ and recall-information page ↗. FDA identifies the posting as a company announcement and says posting it is not an endorsement. The Rockland Edit has not verified that an affected product reached a specific Rockland practice or household, has not accessed an animal's prescription and cannot determine an individual treatment plan.
