Check the lot. Two Fi dog supplements sold through Amazon and Chewy are recalled.

Fi recalled two specific 180-gram dog supplements because they may contain Salmonella. Check the product and lot together: stop using a match, tightly seal the container and put it in the trash.

The recall reaches online shoppers

The announcement says the supplements were sold directly to consumers and through Amazon and Chewy.com. It does not identify individual purchasers, stores or delivery destinations, so the practical local connection is the household check—not a claim that a Rockland sale occurred.

The Rockland Edit has not confirmed that either lot was purchased in Rockland or connected to a local pet or illness.

Handling the product can matter, too

Salmonella can affect animals that eat contaminated products and people who handle them, especially if hands are not thoroughly washed after touching the supplement or surfaces exposed to it.

FDA’s posted announcement says infected people may experience nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramping and fever. In rare cases, infection can lead to more serious complications. People with symptoms after handling the product should contact a healthcare provider.

Pets with Salmonella infection may be lethargic and have diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever or vomiting; some may show reduced appetite, fever and abdominal pain. An otherwise healthy-looking pet can carry the bacteria and expose other animals or people. Contact a veterinarian if a pet consumed a matching product and has symptoms.

Do not broaden the recall

The announced remedy is disposal: tightly seal a matching container and put it in the trash. The FDA-posted notice does not promise a refund or give retailer-specific return instructions.

The useful move is precise: match the product and lot, stop using it if both match, seal the container and discard it in the trash. Then wash your hands and clean any surfaces the supplement touched.
