FOOD SAFETY RECALL — TODDLER CHOKING HAZARD

Every Tractor Wheels bar is recalled. Do not buy, open or serve one.

FDA's current warning covers every flavor, package size, lot code and expiration date of Once Upon a Farm Tractor Wheels Organic Toddler Soft-Baked Bars. The agency describes reports of complete airway obstruction in children ages 1½ to 2½.

The scope is intentionally broad

  • Product: Once Upon a Farm Tractor Wheels Organic Toddler Soft-Baked Bars.
  • Flavors: Strawberry, Pumpkin & Beet; Apple, Sweet Potato & Spinach; and Banana, Pumpkin & Cauliflower.
  • Packages: every count and variety, including multipacks and online snack samplers containing Tractor Wheels.
  • Codes and dates: every lot code and expiration date. A date outside the company's current unexpired range does not clear a package under FDA's warning.
  • Action: do not buy, open or serve the bars. Keep a sealed package away from children while arranging a return, refund or disposal.

Why FDA says to stop serving the product

FDA says the chewed bar can form a dry, sticky mass. The agency received several reports describing children ages 1½ to 2½ who could not breathe because of a complete airway obstruction; some incidents required emergency response and hospital observation. FDA warns that standard choking interventions may fail to dislodge the mass.

The company's recall announcement says its decision followed three consumer complaints reported to FDA and says no injuries were reported. FDA's separate advisory describes the emergency responses and hospital observation. The Rockland Edit is preserving both descriptions rather than treating the company's “no injuries” line as proof that no serious event occurred.

If a child is choking and efforts to dislodge the obstruction fail, FDA says to call 911. This article is not a substitute for emergency first-aid training or medical care.

Return and disposal instructions differ slightly

FDA tells consumers to throw the product away immediately. The company's recall posting says a package should not be opened or consumed and may instead be returned to the place of purchase for a full refund. If you plan to seek a refund, keep the package sealed and inaccessible to children while following the retailer's instructions, or contact Once Upon a Farm at care@uponafarm.com or 1-888-983-1606. The company lists customer-care hours as Monday–Friday, 6 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Pacific, and Saturday, 8–11 a.m. Pacific.

The company says no other Once Upon a Farm products are included. That limit does not narrow the Tractor Wheels recall: all three flavors, all counts, all variety packs, all lots and all dates are covered.

Nationwide sales create a local check—not a local incident claim

FDA says the bars were sold nationwide online and at stores including Costco, Target and Walmart; the company's distribution list includes New York and Puerto Rico. Those records make a Rockland pantry check reasonable, but they do not establish that a specific Rockland store stocked the bars or that a Rockland child was involved in a reported incident.

What changes for a Rockland resident: check snack cabinets, diaper bags and online variety packs for Once Upon a Farm Tractor Wheels. If you find any flavor or package, do not open or serve it; keep it away from children while following the retailer or company refund route, or discard it under FDA's instruction.

Primary records checked November 3, 2026, at 1:56 a.m. EST: FDA's October 30 consumer advisory ↗ and the company recall posted by FDA November 2 ↗, plus Once Upon a Farm's October 30 announcement ↗. FDA supplies the all-flavor, all-quantity, all-lot and all-expiration scope, risk description, national retailer examples and discard instruction. The company supplies the flavor/package inventory, New York distribution, return route, contact and statement that no other company products are included. No reviewed record identifies a Rockland store, purchase or incident.
