SERVICE UPDATE — WEEKEND FERRY
The weekend Haverstraw–Ossining ferry season ends tonight. Weekday commuter service continues.
Official schedules put the final 2026 weekend ferry trips on Saturday, October 31. No weekend ferry is posted for Sunday, November 1, and Rockland County's free TOR Weekend Ferry Connection has the same May 23–October 31 season.

Plan for Sunday, November 1
- Weekend ferry: no Sunday trip is posted after the October 31 seasonal end.
- TOR connection: the free Weekend Ferry Connection also ends after October 31.
- Weekday ferry: commuter service remains posted for Monday, November 2, during morning and evening commuter hours.
- Before traveling: recheck the operator's live route page or call NY Waterway at 800-533-3779.
Two seasonal services end together
NY Waterway's May 21 advisory identifies May 23 through October 31 as the 2026 weekend ferry season. The MTA's current connecting-service page likewise labels the weekend schedule effective October 4–31.
Rockland County lists its free TOR Weekend Ferry Connection for Saturdays and Sundays from May 23 through October 31. That feeder bus is tied to the weekend ferry season; it should not be treated as a Sunday option after the season ends.
The weekday route remains
This is not a full ferry shutdown. NY Waterway's current route page says Haverstraw–Ossining service runs on weekdays during morning and evening commuter hours, and the MTA separately posts a weekday schedule effective October 5. Riders should use that current weekday schedule for Monday, November 2, rather than the expired weekend timetable.
The MTA says a Haverstraw–Ossining ferry UniTicket is accepted on Hudson Link between Rockland County and Tarrytown Station. That is useful for a rider who already holds the combined ticket, but it is not proof of a direct replacement trip for every Sunday itinerary. Plan any Sunday cross-Hudson trip separately against the current bus and rail schedules.
Do not assume a seasonal replacement bus
The MTA page says alternate transportation is provided during a planned or unplanned suspension of ferry service. The reviewed records do not say that the ordinary end of the weekend season triggers a replacement bus on November 1. This guide therefore does not promise one.

What changes for a Rockland resident: do not plan a weekend ferry or free TOR Weekend Ferry Connection trip on Sunday, November 1. Weekday commuter ferry service remains posted for Monday, November 2.
