Plan for the closure

  • Expected start: on or about Wednesday, November 4.
  • Expected duration: about three weeks.
  • During working hours: Marman Place will be closed to traffic, with no street parking.
  • Driveways: access will be limited; the notice says residents will be provided access as or if needed.

  • Questions: Stacey Kurian, Rockland County Sewer District No. 1, Division of Engineering, at 845-365-6094.

The dates are estimates, not a fixed schedule

The Village says the work is expected to begin “on or about” November 4 and last “approximately three weeks.” The notice does not publish exact daily work hours or a precise end date. Residents should not read those estimates as a promise that every restriction starts or ends at a particular hour or on a particular day.

Parking and driveway access are different

The notice bars street parking on Marman Place during the project and says driveway access will be limited. It also says residents will be provided driveway access as or if needed. That does not guarantee that every driveway will be continuously accessible at every moment of the workday.

Traffic will be routed by Laura Place, which the notice says will temporarily flow in both directions. The public notice does not publish a block-by-block closure limit, alternate parking location or official detour map, so this guide does not infer one.

What changes for a Spring Valley resident or visitor: beginning on or about November 4, plan for no through traffic or street parking on Marman Place during working hours, limited driveway access and temporary two-way traffic on Laura Place for about three weeks.
