Rockland’s announced memorial start time has passed. This guide is now an archive.

Rockland County scheduled its 25th-anniversary memorial at Haverstraw Bay County Park for 8:30 a.m. Friday and asked attendees to arrive by 8:15. Both times have passed. This page preserves the announced schedule; it is no longer arrival guidance, and no specific livestream replay has been confirmed.

Why the original guide led with the arrival time

The County’s September 8 press release says “8:30 AM” and separately gives “815 Arrival.” Current search records for a County Facebook event display 8:15 as the event time. Those public records do not use identical labels.

They do agree on the practical instruction that keeps a visitor from arriving late: be at the park by 8:15 a.m. The Rockland Edit is preserving both posted times instead of silently choosing one and presenting the discrepancy as settled.

The County announced a public ceremony and livestream

The announcement said the event was open to the public and media. It also said the County would livestream the ceremony through the Rockland County Government Facebook page. No specific live-video URL was available when this guide was published, and no replay URL was confirmed during the closeout check.

The same announcement introduces a two-part “Rockland Remembers” video series for the 25th anniversary. That series is separate from the live ceremony and does not change the Friday arrival instruction.
