Rockland County will bring a mobile vaccine clinic to Spring Valley from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. No appointment is needed. Flu vaccination is clearly confirmed; the County's two current notices disagree about MMR and describe limited RSV and pneumonia supply.

Flu vaccination is the part both County records confirm

The Health Department's September 10 announcement and its calendar entry both say flu vaccine will be offered Saturday. The County says the standard flu vaccine is for people 6 months and older, with a high-dose version for adults 65 and older.

The County says vaccination is free for people who are uninsured or underinsured. It asks people with Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance to bring their insurance card. Neither Saturday notice explains whether an insured person could face a copay or other charge, so ask staff before vaccination if cost is a deciding factor.

The MMR listing conflicts with the County's announcement

The County calendar calls Saturday's event a “Flu & Measles (MMR) Clinic” and says MMR will be available at no cost to non-immune Rockland residents ages 6 months and older. But the Health Department's September 10 countywide announcement lists Saturday's offerings as flu plus limited quantities of RSV and pneumonia vaccine—and does not list MMR for this stop.

That conflict is not a reason to guess. If you need MMR, RSV or pneumonia vaccine, call 845-364-2534 before traveling and ask whether the vaccine is available Saturday, whether you are eligible and what to bring. The County describes RSV and pneumonia supply as limited.

Do not use the event title as a personal vaccine recommendation

The County announcement advises residents to talk with a healthcare provider about which vaccines they need and when. The event page does not publish a complete clinical-eligibility screen, documentation list or insured-cost rule for every vaccine.

Because the clinic is in a mobile van in the church parking lot, confirm any mobility or accommodation need with the Health Department before leaving. The County record does not describe an accessible route, seating, language assistance or a weather backup.

What changes for a resident: a no-appointment flu-vaccination option is available in Spring Valley Saturday. For MMR, RSV or pneumonia vaccine, call first—the County's notices do not give one consistent availability list.
