Route 59–Route 303 ramp listings disappeared again before Sunday work.

Both connector-ramp closures were visible in 511NY's live Rockland results Saturday evening. Early Sunday, neither closure row nor the related Route 303 lane restriction appeared in the current Rockland list. That is a public-record change—not confirmation that the work was canceled or that every ramp will be open.

Saturday evening, New York's live 511NY list carried two matching records for the interchange. One covered the Route 303 ramps to Route 59 eastbound and westbound; the other covered the Route 59 ramps to Route 303 northbound and southbound. Both said the ramps would be closed and detoured during the overnight work. At the Sunday check, a Rockland search returned two current county entries—Monday utility work on Route 17 in Sloatsburg and the recurring Renaissance Faire traffic notice—but not the interchange records. What the disappearance does—and does not—mean

The earlier record scheduled a block from Sunday night, August 30, through Friday morning, September 4, with work Sunday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. That schedule remained visible at 8:52 p.m. Saturday, then disappeared from the live list before 1 a.m. Sunday.

A missing live row does not, by itself, establish that the work was canceled, postponed or completed. It also does not prove that the ramps will be open. The records had already appeared and disappeared Friday without a separate cancellation notice. Travelers should check 511NY close to departure and follow onsite signs rather than planning around either a confirmed closure or a confirmed cancellation.

The public listing does not name the detour streets

The earlier 511NY rows said each affected ramp would be closed and detoured, but they did not publish turn-by-turn routes. If the work proceeds, drivers approaching the interchange should follow onsite signs and leave extra time instead of assuming a particular local-road route.

The related record had listed a southbound right-lane closure on Route 303 between U.S. Route 9W and Corporate Drive during the same overnight windows. That lane-restriction row was also absent from the Sunday check.

This is separate from the Spring Valley Route 59 detour

Rockland County’s transit page still lists TOR #59 as detoured around the Route 59 bridge project in Spring Valley, between the Exit 14 Park & Ride and South Central Avenue. That continuing bus detour is geographically separate from the Route 59–Route 303 interchange work in Clarkstown. The County had not posted a dedicated TOR alert for the Route 59–Route 303 ramp closures when checked Friday morning. Check the County’s current transit alerts ↗

No separate pedestrian closure is identified

The 511NY records concern highway interchange ramps and do not identify a sidewalk or pedestrian-route closure. They also do not describe local-property access. People traveling near the work zone should follow posted restrictions; the absence of a pedestrian notice should not be read as permission to enter a closed ramp.

The useful version: the Route 59–Route 303 closure rows were visible Saturday evening and absent early Sunday. Do not treat that change as a confirmed cancellation or as proof of open ramps. Check 511NY close to departure and follow onsite signs.
