The freezer check is narrow: So Delicious Dairy Free Salted Caramel Cluster frozen dessert in pints, one UPC, and best-by dates on or before April 3, 2028. If all three details match, do not consume it.

Why the company recalled it

Danone USA says the cashew inclusions used in the frozen dessert may contain small stones and other hard objects. The company says it identified the issue through consumer complaints and began the voluntary recall out of an abundance of caution.

The announcement does not state how many complaints were received, how many pints are involved or whether anyone was injured. This guide does not fill in those missing numbers.

Do not broaden the recall to every So Delicious pint

The announcement names one flavor, one package size and one UPC. Danone says no other So Delicious codes, flavors or products are affected. A later best-by date is not listed in this recall.

If the date or UPC is hard to read, contact the company rather than guessing. The exact identifiers matter more than the color of the lid or a memory of where the pint was purchased.

How to request a refund or replacement coupon

Call the So Delicious Dairy Free Consumer Care Line at 1-833-367-8975, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern, or use the company's consumer contact form ↗. The announcement does not direct consumers to return the pint to a particular retailer.

Nationwide distribution is confirmed; a Rockland sale is not

Danone says the affected pints were distributed to retail stores throughout the United States. That makes a local freezer check reasonable, but it does not establish that a recalled pint was stocked or sold in Rockland County. The Rockland Edit has not confirmed a local store, purchase, complaint or injury.

What changes for a resident: check a So Delicious Salted Caramel Cluster pint for UPC 744473476138 and a best-by date on or before April 3, 2028. Do not consume an exact match; use the company phone line or contact form for the announced refund or replacement route.
