SUPPLEMENT RECALL — ONE LOT
Check 365 Whole Foods Market ashwagandha. One lot is recalled.
Vitality Works is recalling one lot of 365 Whole Foods Market Standardized + Full Spectrum Blend Ashwagandha Capsules because it may be contaminated with Salmonella. The 120-count bottles were sold online nationwide through Amazon and at Whole Foods Market stores nationwide.

All four checks must match
- Product: Standardized + Full Spectrum Blend Ashwagandha Capsules.
- Package: white plastic bottle, 120 count.
- UPC: 9948252099.
- Bottom code: lot 2025-26227 and expiration 10/13/2028.
Do not consume an exact match
The FDA-hosted announcement says to discard the recalled product and not return the bottle to the store. It separately says refunds are available at any Whole Foods Market store. Keep the package information or another record needed for the refund, but follow the posted discard instruction rather than carrying the recalled bottle back into a store.
Questions may be directed to Vitality Works at 505-268-9950, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Mountain time, Monday through Friday.
The announcement was broadened to nationwide distribution
The firm's October 30 notice says its press information was updated from selected states to nationwide distribution. It now lists Amazon sales nationwide and Whole Foods Market store sales nationwide from November 24, 2025, through October 20, 2026. That makes this a direct product check for Rockland residents even though the reviewed record does not identify a Rockland transaction, purchaser or illness.
What the health record does—and does not—say
Salmonella infection can cause fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. The announcement says young children, older adults, frail people and people with weakened immune systems can face more serious infection. It reports no illnesses as of October 30; that is a dated statement, not a guarantee that no later illness will be identified.
The potential contamination was found through routine sampling of a single retail unit. That finding is the basis for the one-lot recall; it does not establish that every bottle of this brand or every ashwagandha supplement is contaminated.
What changes for a Rockland resident: check any 120-count 365 Whole Foods Market ashwagandha bottle before the next dose. If the UPC, lot and expiration all match, do not consume it; discard it as directed and use the Whole Foods refund route.
