CONSUMER SAFETY RECALL — FIRE & BURN HAZARD
Stop using DREO model DR-HSH015. Check the date underneath.
DREO recalled about 338,800 space heaters after 17 reports that the heaters ignited, including three resulting in property damage and one burn injury to a hand. The recall covers model DR-HSH015 manufactured from 2025/04 through 2026/01.

Check, stop and replace
- Model: DR-HSH015, printed on a label on the underside of the heater.
- Manufacture date: 2025/04 through 2026/01. A DR-HSH015 with a date outside that range is not identified in this recall.
- Immediate action: stop using the heater and unplug it.
- Remedy: contact DREO for a free replacement and follow the company's instructions before cutting the cord.
How to identify the recalled heater
CPSC describes a black ceramic electric heater about 11.5 inches wide and 13 inches tall, sold with a remote control. The DREO name appears on the front. Turn the unplugged heater over only when it is cool and stable; the model number and manufacture date are on the underside label.
The model number alone is not the complete check. Both the DR-HSH015 model and a manufacture date from 2025/04 through 2026/01 must match the federal recall record.
What owners should do
CPSC says owners should stop using and unplug a recalled heater, then contact DREO for a free replacement. The recall process asks consumers to destroy the heater by cutting its power cord and submit a photograph, but do not cut the cord while the heater is plugged in or before receiving the company's instructions.
Contact DREO at 833-820-0887, 8:30 a.m.–6 p.m. Eastern, Monday through Friday, or email spaceheater@realtimeresults.net. The company's recall site is recallrtr.com/spaceheater ↗.
Where it was sold—and the local limit
The heaters were sold from September 2025 through October 2026 for about $70 to $110 at Costco stores nationwide and online through DREO, Best Buy, Kohl's, Lowe's, QVC, Home Depot, B2B Renew and Costco. Nationwide and online availability means Rockland residents may own one, but the reviewed record does not confirm a Rockland purchase, fire or injury.
CPSC reports about 338,800 recalled heaters in the United States and about 36,300 in Canada. It lists 17 ignition reports, three resulting in property damage, and one burn injury to a consumer's hand. Those reports explain the recall; they do not establish that every recalled heater has ignited.
What this changes for a Rockland resident: check the underside of a DREO heater before using it. If both the model and date match, unplug it now and use the free-replacement process.
